About the event
Join me for a masterclass in sewing a pair of drawstring pyjama bottoms - perfect for beginners.Â
I'll teach you how to draft the pattern yourself - made to measure. It sounds tricky but it's really not: This workshop is perfect for anyone who would like to make their own clothes but hasn't tried before. The PJ bottoms are quick to make - and you could even add pockets!
(Likewise, if you're a dab-hand at sewing, you will enjoy this speedy make).Â
I'll talk you through the process of measuring and making your pattern, then cutting your fabric. You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions as we go through, as this is a live event. You can choose the length - you may prefer to make PJ shorts, or long trousers.Â
Then I'll talk through the sewing and finishing process, sharing plenty of hints and tips to make your life easier.Â
You will be sent a video of the session, so you can watch it back and play/pause at your leisure. And you'll be able to make as many pairs of shorts as you like for whoever you like, as you'll have the know-how!Â
You will also be sent a full instruction handbook.Â
You will need 1 - 2m fabric depending on your size and preferred length. If in doubt, please ask me. Or wait to purchase your fabric until after the session if you're unsure.Â
Cotton / linen are the perfect fabrics as they're soft, comfy and easy to sew. Here are some links and recommendations. (Use code Themakery15% for 15% off):
